Ive decided to go Ranger. Ive decided that having a animal companion on this journey of the soul would be a good idea.

(Im not serious about this while "spiritual journey" but saying im going of a crusade of the soul sounds better than "Hey Im going back to being a noob :P"

Deleting all your items and gold was kind of a dickish move, don't you think?

I would have given them away, at least then the time and money spent on said items would still be worth something :\

I'm doing something similar with my monk, but not deleting my characters. I'm just not allowing my monk to use the storage agent untill he has beaten the game. I've also not played a monk past lvl 8 or so, so it'll be a challenge, and certainly different being a 100% non damage dealing support character.

Also,

Quote:
The essential meaning of jihad is the spiritual, psychological and physical effort exerted by Muslims to be closer to God and thus achieve a just and harmonious society. Jihad literally means "striving" or "struggle" and is shorthand for Jihad fi Sabeel Allah (struggle for God's cause).

The one Casey Squid, Malice Black:

My friends, I too am pondering doing this so please keep me posted as to "the feel" of the game now and if you accomplished what you wanted by deleting them.

I have lvl 20 Monk, Warrior, Necro, Mesmer. I'm thinking of keeping just the monk.

To the people that don't understand, I think Guild wars is better suited to playing one character now, as opposed to the old way of playing them all.

And to the OP:
I hope you are not making Faction only toons, cause its gonna cost ya more gold than you did imagine to get skills for them.

if in factions, just get what skills you need, and the amount of gold if you got the same amount of skills does not change betweenm factions and tyria, so sorry to burst yer bubble but it is faction or tyria that is gonna cost a bundle for skills.

Should anybody else feel the need to restart from scratch, a lonely soul named Arial Fertuna could always use some extra pocket cash...

I don't think this'll work...you'll never recapture that "noob" feeling we all had when we were starting out.

hmmm ... you know in WoW too they say that "noob times are the best times" and I really believe that this is true with nearly all games. Getting there is all the fun, because once you get "there" then the game begins to be too much like responsibility and hard work.

I know you probably realise this but picking a character at the start (name and look) that you can respond to, helps alot. Out of the 6 characters that I have, 4 really resonate with me and I know I could never delete them, they really help me enjoy the game. The other 2, even though they are "okay", I could delete without a blink even if they had FOW or more hours against them.

Hope you enjoy things second time around.

*cough* smitting prayers *cough* Last I checked monks are not 100% non damage dealers, that's just what everyone thinks because they've never played a monk before or think that monks are only good at healing and protecting. *cough* 100 armor ignoring damage in one attack *cough*
